Training - A formal presentation on subjects of your choosing such as: What is anti-racism? preventing unlawful harassment and discrimination, combatting biases in the workplace, cultural humility, cross-cultural sensitivity, respecting gender pronouns, etc. The presentation is informative and educational with minimum interactive activities. Trainings are recommended for groups that have completed an organizational assessment, have started laying the groundwork of a shared language and have identified specific areas for improvement.
Workshops - An intensive discussion forum or session that engages participants in a variety of relationship-building and brainstorming activities about DEIA subjects. Training presentations are implemented into the workshop and are recommended for groups who are in the process of planning and building out their strategic initiatives.
Annually, employers in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, and New York are required to provide employees with harassment prevention training. An employer that does not use the model training developed by the Department of Labor and Division of Human Rights must ensure that the training that they use meets or exceeds the specified standards. We are happy to prepare a training for your staff that meets the standards of the Department of Labor and your mission.
While the remaining states are not required to provide anti-harassment trainings, other federal and state laws, regulations and court decision strongly encourage employers to provide such trainings.
